Perfect Light Photography was founded in 2015 by Ian Scott, a professional photographer of 25 years. After discovering his passion for photography at art college, Ian perfected his craft working on cruise ships, at weddings, and just about everything in between.
In that time, he’s developed a unique take that brings artistic, technical and personal elements together to capture the true character of the subject. With Ian, putting his clients at ease is just as important as the creativity of the shot.

"We commissioned Ian Scott to take pictures of our imaging equipment in use in what are sterile, clinical and sometimes awkward conditions. We needed someone who is entirely professional and who is equally good with inanimate objects as well as people, and who can take quality pictures in what can be problematic spaces, situations and light. We also needed someone who could put our camera-shy researchers at ease."

"I have worked with Ian for many years at the University. He is an extremely reliable and very capable photographer who has always provided me with high quality images for events, portraits and general campus imagery. Ian is very flexible with his dates and is always willing to put a range on hold until we can confirm exact details with him. I always have confidence that Ian will meet the brief within the agreed costings."

"I hate seeing pictures of myself, but really do appreciate the great work you’ve done. The pictures have come out amazingly well, and the headline photo you chose my favourite to use too"
